    1) Go here and see how the Twin Cities' gas prices compare to other parts of the country (state or city or USA). http://www.twincitiesgasprices.com/retail_price_chart.aspx

    2) The past protests against gas prices didn't affect the gas market because almost everyone needed gas to drive their cars. There's a thing going around on Myspace saying that if the country don't purchase gas from Exxon/Mobile only, that would force them to reduce their prices. This protest states that no one is to buy their gas (only theirs) until the gas prices drops way down to $1.40 a gallon. (Yay! Gas would be cheaper than bottled water!) I don't think it'll work, but anyone want to join in this protest?

The boycotts are more likely to hurt the local gas stations than the big oil companies that supply them. I think the only way gas prices will really come down is if people use less gas total. So, once a month, everyone walk to firestone. :)

    ^bwahahaha... good one.

No matter what the Big Oiler said about price going up due to other problems around the world...

If that was the case then why is the Big Oil company making major profit in the last financial report?

^^I just saw that. They beat Wal-Mart to first in 2005 and they are the most financially strong in the US market. I'll just buy BP gas and see how they stand in 2006. Muah-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Those dips in Washington haven't let Big Oil build a new refinery in decades. Bottom line is that those with the gas and the refineries before the building freeze have no competition and can charge what they want.

I don't want socialism- I want new refineries! And they can build them where nobody lives:

    North Dakota.

    ;)

Talk about gas price... I'm paying $2.29 for cheap arse E85 for the Mini-van... now isn't that an ITCH... shouldn't it be cheaper since they're made from mostly corn oil. Yeah, Minnesota grown and we're paying just as much as regular gas.
