Hey all, not sure where to post this as its half Subaru half in general all cars and half not about either related. Anyway. As the title states, I'm looking for some new friends around the saint cloud area being as I pretty much lost just about every one of my previous close friends after they decided they'd rather hang out with my ex that didn't like them. That's besides the point. In the past month or so I have done a lot of thinking and reflecting on my life and choices I've made and I'm taking this whole situation as something positive and something that will allow me to move forward with my life and accomplish my goals with nothing bringing me down. While doing this thinking I've realized that I have had pretty much zero friends that are in to cars at all. To all them they were just means of transportation, and I've found it really difficult to continue learning more about working on cars and making them your own. What I really need is a few like minded people that I can hang out with that I can learn from. I'm not just looking for someone to learn from though. I genuinely want new friends that I can relate to. I'm almost 21 and from the age of 18 to just a few months ago, i was in a relationship with said ex, who made it very difficult to even hang out with the friends I had (if I did we would end up fighting) much less meet new people. Honestly, I feel like I've forgotten how to meet new people. I'm not a huge partier so its not as easy for me to just go out and party and meet new people that way. That's just not my scene and it makes me a little uncomfortable anyway. Now for today. Today I can say I have been in a very happy new relationship for the past few months and things look good for my future with her. However we both are in the same our friends left us situation (this all happened before we really even met). Ideally we would both like to meet people who can feel comfortable around a couple, however at the same time be able to hang out with either of us. Or just me. Whatever works. We would love to meet other couples around our age (she just turned 22 and I'm a few weeks away from 21). I feel weird coming to the forums looking for friends. I just would love to have a few people to hang out with again.
Tuesday meet. Go to the event thread and look for it. Couple of us go out for a beer and good food. Make fun of each other, talk cars etc
what @Neil Wise said, come down to the meets.. they are good fun and you can get to know some of the faces and learn alot if you listen and take the insults with a grain of salt.. p.s. What do you drive?
I would love to come down for meets Tuesday night but needing to be up by 5 the next morning makes it hard to wanna drive down and back. I'm planning on trying to make to at least a couple soonish! Also I drive a 2003 sedona red wrx sedan!
