Hey, guys. I was referred to MN Subaru by a guy named Lee, I believe. He drives an 06' STI. Anyone know of him? Lol. Anyway, my name is Chong I'm new to the Subaru game, but I've loved Subaru's ever since I've started loving cars. I'm still learning about my car, so any help would be much appreciated. The guy that owned the car before me said that he had the clutch tuned on E85 (What's that mean?!). I will upload pictures of my car as soon as this snow clears up... The only picture that I have of her right now is the one that's set as my DP. Anyway, I'm glad to have been referred to the group. Hope to meet you all at the upcoming events. :D

Um, either you heard the last guy incorrectly, or he's totally on crack. A clutch is in the transmission, E85 is a fuel, and a tune is on the ECU. Perhaps he said, "custom tuned on E85." Which if you do have a tune on E85, I hope to god you are running E85 or have switched to a map/tune that runs on 93/91 and you're running the right fuel!

Anyway, welcome to the forum and check out the events section for upcoming events. Speaking of, there is a Tuesday night meet tonight at Stout's Pub in Roseville. Come on out!

Nope, he wrote it out... Maybe it was auto correct? I hope I'm using the right fuel too.. I'll go see if it's tuned for e85 this weekend haha. Thanks! Hopefully I can come out next week!

I found out what he meant! Stock injectors, ported to 880cc. So I should be running E85 then, right?

If he said e85 also. I'm running injectors that big with pump gas. Alot of guys running e85 are in the 1000+cc range. Tough to say because you can run e85 on 880's...but you can run 93 oct on them too.

You can also run e85 on 560cc ;)

Does your exhaust smell like burnt corn flakes?

You're gonna want to talk to a tuner asap. Definitely sounds like it was tuned on E85 and should be running E85. Do you have a Cobb Accessport? If so, does it have multiple maps (e.g. An E85 map and a 93 or 91 map?). If not, find someone who has a tactrix cable and can read your map... Hopefully the tuner saved the field type in the file name (eg "stage 2 E85 tune). Or you could also talk to the previous seller. In any case, I would not be hitting any sort of boost until you get the situation figured out!
