Impreza Short Shifter

I got a short shifter for my 02 WRX. I popped it in, and it didn't quite fit. I got it on ebay. They listed it for 96-03. But it didn't fit my 02. So I'm guessing it fits 96-00. It just barely didn't clear the opening in the floor. Anyone interested? Let's say $20. Thanks.

 

most of the short shifts for 02+ you have to remove that metal ring with all the 12mm bolts, flip it over and break the tabs off of it or your shift lever will hit it.

 

I took the ring off, and it still hit the edge of the cutout in the floor. I think I'm going to spring for a SubyDude short shifter. I think I want it to tip a little further back.

 

Checkout the Cobb As well...A little pricier but very nice adjustables, another one is Kartboy.

 

Guess what I found in the closet. Yup, still for sale. I forgot about it... Anyone interested?
