Yea, I am not a leather seat fan. Too hot in the sun but that is the look I was thinking about for my car before I got used to the rear wing. Moon roof would be nice feature that is coming on the LE. Oh yea and the IPod input would be nice too.

it is the pimped version of the STi. looks pretty hawt espc since you get the moonroof. but i like the alcantra STi seats, so i would go for the normal sti.

Hmmm... I don't get this part, did they detune the engine?

"All Impreza WRX STI models are powered by a turbocharged and intercooled 2.5-liter DOHC Boxer engine producing 293 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 290 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 4,400 rpm. The Subaru Active Valve Control System (AVCS) variable valve timing technology helps provide strong torque characteristics throughout the engine’s operating range. A manually operated water spray feature helps to bolster intercooler efficiency during spirited driving."

OPPS, forget it... I found the answer to the above question:

The altered HP and torque numbers are due to Subaru adopting a new method of testing engines. This is SAE J1349. It is not that the old numbers are wrong, just that most manufacturers are optionally adopting this new method. The main difference is that some engine equipment such as the power steering pump must now be hooked up during testing.

It will reduce some engines and not others, it is not a purely mathematical calculation where the "old" numbers are multiplied by some factor.

    http://www.sae.org and do a search on J1349

Its too basic. And about the sunroof, you'd have to go around the little roll bar and stuff. plus the ceiling is so thin, it might not have much support. You know how you flop the sun visor things back up? it make sthat big thump and it echos.

They didn't detune the engine. It's actually from the new way of measuring horsepower. At least that's what I read a few days ago. All cars will retain the same engine and hp as stated before, but it won't "say" it ;)

i think its pretty damn sexy and i thought it said the seats are leather trimmed, not full leather, so prolly fabric in the center section and leather on the sides. either way its f'in hawt and i want that wing

If it is the same leather I had in my 9-2x then you don't want it. IMO Subie leather blows. However the seats in the Legacy aren't bad.

STI's look weird with out a spoiler of some sort. As do EVOs.

Yea, when I took the car through a touchless carwash the roof started rumbing under the dryers. I drove out real fast when I heard that. Sounded like it was going to dent in the whole roof. Sounded real scary!

Modern day imprezas use an X brace in the roof, so its incredibly strong. In 05 it moved back a bit so that the could put that little sunroof in there, but apparently it doesnt greatly affect the rigidity of the chassis.

The seats are all leather. Take a look at the pics in the link.

And saab provided the leather seating surfaces for the 9-2x, not subaru. The STi limited seats are closer to the leather seats in the LGT.

Really? The leather is no where near the quality of leather found in any current Saabs--or older ones at that. Of course we also had "premium" carpet in the Saabaru also--mine wore through in four months. Boo!

Man I really like those LGTs though. It's too bad I couldn't find one for the right price, they are sweet cars. Even the base L Wagon is a good car.

Have you got the Mini out yet? It's supposed to be nice this weekend. I think I will be bringing my Z up soon.

My fiancee is losing her job at the end of the month, so she is not putting insurance on the mini until she gets another, so no mini for a little while, which is a shame, since i know she really badly wants to be driving it. I think she took it around the lakes last week when it was nice out, but then stashed it back in the garage to wait for her to get employed again.

It looks nicer in general, but come on, the wing makes the sti an sti :) I was also lookin at the subaru website and it says 293 HP? Just wondering what that is all about. Moonroof is a nice addition though, always wanted one one for my car =\

^See my post from the previous page... it'll explain why the HP and TRQ came out that way. It's still the same engine.

Who has the bigest Wing for a small car?
    A VW Jetta?
    No
    A Nissan Sentra?
    No
The car that has the biggest wing is the all new Subaru Impreza STI.
Its what makes a Subaru, a Subaru.

YOu know what would be cool, that STI wing on a B9 Tribeca lol

Anyways, yea, Moonroof would be nice, but and STI isent ment for all those creature comforts. Makes it to heavy.
