So I am searching for a new motorcycle this year (2003-2005 Honda RC-51) and I want to paint the bike flat black with a flat red racing stripe down the center. I am also looking to get the wheels powder coated flat red if possible. does anyone have any recommendations for a local painter and/or powder coating company that is reasonable and good?? Can you even powder coat in flat colors? I wouldnt expect a motorcycle paint job to cost that much since I will be bringing in all of the plastics and tank already taken off the bike and all of the oem stickers removed. Thanks.
Friend's trying to get a GP on powercoating wheels here (don't think they'd include red, but maybe wortha shot?) http://www.neuwerks.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3109
I know someone with a poweder coating setup whos out in Delano. I can give him a ring if you would like to see about the wheels. do the wheels have tires on them? dismounting will cost more.
+1 for this guy....I helped build one of Kris's more recent (he might have something else now....I don't remember) oven setups. he does good work, and has been doing it for a few years. I know he's done a bunch of flat black on a few different sets of wheels. I doubt he's got any flat red, but can get pretty much anything. he also has a sweeeeet sandblasting setup, so can strip the wheels down to bare metal very effectively.
Twin City Powdercoating did good work on my wheels. They had about a zillion different colors and textures to choose from.
indeed. crank the throttle on the compressor.....adjust the pressure regulator......level house that thing is insane
Bump for powder coat options. This website doesnt work and powder coating tech. wanted like 450 bucks to do 4 wheels :eek4:

I dug out a business card. Here is the info... Twin City PowderCoating Mike Russo 548 Apollo Drive Suite 40 Lino Lakes, MN 55014 Phone 763-785-7900 Fax 763-785-9010 OFFICIAL WEBSITE is... www.TwinCityPowderCoating.com (probably down right now) I spoke with him and mentioned this site. I believe he is going to sign up and post in the vendor area. He's a busy guy, but with the amount of interest here alone, I think he'll show up.
