anyone seen Ken Park? if so....WTF??!?! Is that the directors abstract view on America(i think hes french)
That's one of Larry Clark's films, the same guy who did the movie Kids. You think Ken Park is messed up you should see his other film Bully. He isn't French, I think he's an Okie, but he directs films that would otherwise be the material for European films. I rather like how raw his films are because I always think we're waaaaaay too sheltered here in the US. I thought this was going to be a thread about Sundance which is going on right now. I am headed out to the SLC for work and am flying in Saturday to go up to Park City and check things out. I'm a total film geek... Speaking of sick movies I've been searching for flicks that trump movies like Hostel for wanton gore and shock factor ever since a friend of mine said he was so tough for watching that drivel. So far my recommendation is either Salo or Cannibal Holocaust as those were pretty disturbing. You have been warned.
