A friend of mine is looking at this car this afternoon any information on it? http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/cto/3040844236.html
Did that guy just cut up random descriptions of cars on the internet, stuff the clippings up his ass, then **** them out into a random order to make tthat advertisement? I have a vague idea of what's for sale, because I recognize some words. Buut honestly, I have no idea what's going on.
Yeah, that post gave me a headache. Looks like they took an 05 impreza (at least the back half is from an 05 from what I can tell) and used an 07 donor to swap over the front end, what looks like the trans, brakes, and presumably the motor as well. Not sure if they just swapped fenders/bumper/lights/brackets for the front end face lift. Also, the dash looks like it's out of an 02-04. WMC/Elite special?
My buddy is picking up this car tomorrow, the guy doesn't speak very good English is why the add is so choppy, it's a full sti swap from a 07 motor and tranny
I liked the "fully stock" followed up by a list of aftermarket parts. Also, the muffler part made me giggle.
The other possibility is that it's registered/insured/vin tagged as an 05 2.5rs which is worth $6-7k. Good luck financing twice what it's worth or insuring it for what it's worth. If it were a classic car or a limited use "show" car, some insurance companies might insure it for what a 3rd party appraiser says it's worth.
Not sure maybe, he mention something his brother having the tittle or something he also said it has a salvaged tittle.
Yep that would be a no go for me. I looked at a swaped 02 and the best thing I ever did was pass on it.
It was the weirdest thing i have ever experienced. He saw my car and pointed out that it has carbon deposits on the inside of the exhaust. He then pointed at his and said look look no black stuff se runs good..... I would watch out for this one really glad my friend did not pick this up.
All cars have carbon deposits on the exhaust if you don't regularly clean them off. A pinch of NevrDull and about 15 minutes of your time will get rid of it. Carbon deposits prove absolutely NOTHING about how a car runs or what shape it's in.
Federal law mandates that automobile odometers and tailpipe finishers are to remain untouched throughout the life of the car. Any alteration of the odometer mileage or wiping off of carbon deposits from the tailpipes is strictly forbidden without documentation from your state's department of motor vehicles. Also, tailpipe cleanliness is reported to Carfax.
Crap, I just cleaned mine last night. Are we talking white collar resort prison or Federal pound me in the ass prison if I get caught?
I'm sure you can arrange for "pound me in the ass prison" if you play your cards right during arrest.
It's amazing what waving a gun around and screaming obscenities will do for you with law enforcement.
Yeah, you can find the state statutes printed on a sheet of paper stapled to your ceiling, right next to where I painted the word "gullible."
