Drop car with NF and have them install and tune the Outback or buy motorcycle instead and drive the Outback the way it is until next year? I keep renewing my motorcycle license every time I have to renew my license just so I don't have to retake the damn course again. I'm thinking its time to buy another motorcycle. I Learned to ride on a ninja 636. But leaning towards a sport cruiser.
If I started out with the right platform such as a WRX or STI, it shouldn't be a problem. But nooooo, I wanted to be different and drive something different than everyone else.
Someone should've given you a bigger gun to shoot your foot with lol Kids these days, they still think it's so cool to be different and be loud. Well since you've contradicted yourself you might as well go trade it in for a Prius and be done. And in a few years you can then get your dream Subaru model.
I still like to be different. I never liked being the guy who drove a car like everyone else. In a line of WRX's and STI's cruising together, I want to be the step child who could be picked out from the crowd. Same thing when I was in the Honda scene. Everyone drove Civic's and Integra's. I was the guy driving the Accord.
Some day you'll understand it's not what you drive, but how you drive it that seperates you apart from the rest! OMG
Trade/sell the car for maybe a Gtr The car can be driven 365 days a year, the bike, maybe 180 Do both, upgrade the outback and buy a cheap cruiser or something for under $3k
Wait, you're doing just turbo install and tune? That shouldn't be that much, maybe $500 or so You should be able to do both of them
Transmission fluid changes in a GTR cost as much as adding a turbo to an N/A subaru. The only difference is, you do it every 9000 miles on the GTR.
Well......I bought a motorcycle instead. And its not even a cruiser like I wanted. 09 GSXR 600. Haven't picked it up yet. Still being serviced and being safety checked before I can pickup. May sell off my turbo project or hang onto it for the future.
It's sexy.... I passed it the other day. I was drooling over the bike and didn't notice the rider until I noticed him wave.
The first bike I was on was a hayabusa. I was taking it for a test ride to make sure if I really wanted a cruiser or a rocket. FP Green 20g externally gated. 8cm, 2.5 inlet
Damn.... Thats mighty pimp. I can see myself in that. What do you think are the general age for riders to convert over?
I'm a casual rider. When I first started riding, I was all about speed. Then I started popping the front tires by accident and then it got a little addicting. Eventually I flipped. I've grown from all that and I really just want to ride back and forth and save on gas. I also believe the type of bike you buy is also the type that all your buddies, brothers, reletives or friends are currently riding.
I made the general progression when I had my first child, realized I dont need to ride like an asshat, on my Z1K I'd roll into the throttle, let off once I thought it had gotten out of hand, look down, I'm doing triple digits and I still had half of the tach left. Its just too much power, then we move onto the seat, a slab of granite. I'm happy with my choice. Its reliable Cheap Quick Tons of torque (roundabout 100 ft lbs at about 2600) and COMFORTABLE!
