I got a few questions pertaining to removing/installing injectors: Anyone know how to do this? What tools are required? Time? Thanks,Kong
I've done it. I needed a phillips screwdriver, pliers, hammer, PB blaster, vicegrip and a socket wrench. I took pb blaster to those little phillips screws and waited. Then go back with the screwdriver and a hammer. Put a lot of pressure on the screw with the screwdriver to keep it in the slot, then slowly turn it while tapping it with the hammer. Keep in mind that I was working on a 10 year old car. Then, you grab a rag and put it under the fuel rail to collect the small amount of fuel that will leak out when you pull out the injector. Pull out the injector with pliers/vicegrip. put in the new one, and put everything back. Might as well change your fuel filter while you're at it!!!! lol the plugs and wires too!
Oh it takes about a 20 mins to an hour. Depending on your abilities and speediness. Don't rush car projects though....
it will not take 20min on a WRX more like a couple of hours. Look up green brackets of death on nasioc.
lol, like i said, I got all week to put them in.. I'll definitely do some research before starting though
