Anyone want to hwlp me remove the intake silencer? This is my first new car and I am not overly mechanically gifted.

I live in Hampton, 30 miles south of St. Paul on hwy 52. I would even be willing to come to you sometime

    Sure what car?

It is really easy, pull pasenger wheel

    pull back inner fender

locate nut inside inner fender holding bottom of silencer and remove

    open hood

look for nut between the two holes on the passenger side and remove

pull inner fender back again and remove offending piece

Paul, don't worry, pulling the intake silencer out of my WRX was the first thing I did and I didn't have instructions. It'll take less than 20 minutes if you know what's what on your car.

Just don't follow the instructions from import tuner. they took off the head light and bumper....

You can do it without taking the wheel off, its just a little more cramped. I've done it twice to my car. I got in an acciedent which tore off my passenger side front panel, and it was gone so they put a new one on.

When I've done it i hack off the big conatiner at the bottom and keep top that connects to the ram and the airfilter box just to the intake is always getting a fresh supply of air and nothing wiggles around.
