Any one done any logging in this 0 degree weather? I am kind of curious what the intake temps are running at.

Well, what intake temps are you talking about?? I can tell you want temps that I run in my car (pre-turbo,post turbo, and post ic). I guess the other thing is what are you looking for?? I can tell you that a good flowing system will keep your post ic temps pretty close to your pre-turbo (ambient air) temps. Post turbo temps will really vary on the boost, intake, and what turbo you are running. If you want I can shoot out some numbers with certain setups that I have been running.

I did some logging last week when it was about 22 or so. Saw a high IAT of 32F @2k drop off to 23 @6.5k (90 mph).

Well, anything that you log off of the ecu is going to be in the maf, so pre turbo. If you have a short ram on there, you can take that temp and throw it right out the window. With a sealed air box (to the fender) or a cai, you should be running right around ambient temps.

Oh. I thought they had intake manifold temp sensors. Thats why I asked the question.

I recall getting really close to ambient on the IC while going down the highway for a few minutes, but once you're in stop-and-go city driving it can heat up pretty quick. The IC on my old RS was a custom-made job though and probably could have been ducted better, though when the fan kicked on the temps did go down a little so I'm guessing most of the warmer air had an easier time flowing down and out of the engine bay.

I do recall some killer performance on days it got below 0. You intake air charge can get so dense with that cold air. Probably one of the things I miss most about MN winters.

Anyone have any logging info for the LGT yet? Russ?
