I have been loking for intake for my 95 for a while and they are easy to make / find but i need an adapter for the MAF unit. it will fit right over the intake tube, but i need to fabricate a adapter for a conical filter to a rectangular bolt pattern. does any one have any experience with this. by the way i can buy the part but its $30 for the POS

Your talking about the old style MAF with the flapper door? Sounds like it from your description, HKS makes an adaptor that works.

I had a 96 with hot-wire MAF sensor in the intake, the 95 isn't the same?

The last "Flapper Door" MAF on a Subaru was in 1987.

it just that there is an odd shaped coupler that connects the actual intake to the air box, i can replace the intake but to remove the air box i will need an adapter that will allow it to mate with conical filter.
