I went there yesterday and got to see some River Dance and enjoy a $6 beer. I didn't buy anything else though.

There used to be one on White Bear Ave and Larpenteur but it closed down after a few years. The one on the West Side was better anyways.

my family has put on this fair / festival for years. tons of hard work is into it to make sure you guys have good times. the beer was expensive but the cost of drinking went up to help lower certain food items so everyone could have a good time.
burgers were 3 tickets, and lemonade was 4, 5 for a gigantic glass of the stuff.
and the portions on the food were decent sized.

finnys, was the only beer served that had a higher percentage of alcohol then the rest this year.. so your 6 dollar beer was like 3 regular beers.

flogging molly loves us here. I was talking with nate after the show for quiet some time, and the "idea" is to bring them back next year with drop kick murphys. Nate loved the idea so much for a drop kick / flogging molly show so much that he wants us to name drop them specifically when we talk to dk's agents.

music and slightly expensive products aside. you can't complain..... it was FREE!!!!
and you've gotten less quality from higher producing groups for elevated priced tickets.

thanks if anyone here volunteered, your help was much appreciated.
may you be in heaven for only a minute before the devils knows your missin!

You related to Kiren (spelling?) ?

By Finny's, I'm guessing you mean Finnegins. I volunteer for them. I was there friday night (for fun) and saturday mid-day (to run the finnegins booth)

lord love ya, i'm finally home from the weekend!!!!

I should be a bit more specific so I don't snap up all the credit.
my family has the Irish gazet, and take stake in the music and promotion side of things. there are a number of people involved and a few other "familys"

the volunteers are priceless... and can't be thanked enough. there was a bit less this year in the food area to keep down on "fair style" foods, and bring it back to be a bit more "Irish" Flogging molly even gave thanks to the security... lol poor walter. (if you were there you'll understand what thats about)

ryan - Finnegins it is! and thank you mate... you had to be pretty dang quick on your feet towards the end of the night, and kept those glasses jammed to the fill line :p

twofiveRS - your telling me... poor guy was a bit tippsy by the end of the show. drinking guiness from 9am to 12 at night and not missing a beat on stage. then the guys did something I never expected and actually came right out into the crowd after the show and wouldn't leave untill anyone who wanted an autogrpah, a hug, or just to chat.... everyone of the guys made sure everyone felt "good" before a hearty handshake and moving onto the next person. nate even took care to come out and greet a daughter of a friend who drove 3 hours to see the show, and would have wanted anything in the world to meet them... nate made sure she got a hug, some pictures and shared some storys. these guys are top notch in my book!

we were talking for a while and he kept nudging me in the side saying "someone should come up with an Irish tour with flogging molly, dropkick, and a few other irish bands... maybe sponsored by the Guinness" lol then dragged me to talk with the other guys about the idea.

my buddys got a decent video of two songs i'll upload as soon as it comes to me. but if you guys missed the show, you straight missed out. one hell of a show all around.

and again I can't thank you guys enough for supporting, and volunteering.

I'm off to bed, I gotta be at the shop early in the day to get someones valve cover to them :)

No filling for me, those were different people. I "work" for Finnegans (though there is only 2 employee's that are paid). So I go to events like this and others promoting Finnegans.

Not to promote here or anything, but Finnegans is the worlds only non-profit beer. If your interested in volunteering for Finnegans drop me a line or check out www.finnegans.org
