I'm selling some tires on Craiglist (also in the FS thread ) and got a quick response, but it seems fishy to me. The persons e-mail address is @coalio.com. I'd never heard of that before and Google doesn't bring anything up...if I go to www.coalio.com it's just a blank white page that says "don't touch anything". Before I e-mail this guy back and give him my e-mail address, I want to make sure this isn't something funky. What do you guys think?
Just make a quick fake one and see whats up. (hotmail, gmail, etc.) See if they will give you a phone number...
I use my t3hw00t.com email for everything, never had a question about it. Best part about having your own domain is being able to setup your own email addresses. Maybe he hasn't put up a website yet...or a public one at least. If he starts talking wire transfers or saying he is an agent for someone, then worry.
Well, he wants me to deliver the tires. He said he doesn't have a car...yet he's buying tires? He's willing to pay extra for the delivery.
Screw that, if it seems fishy, delete and move on. I always ask them to include a telephone number or I delete the email.
Well, that struck me as odd...but thought maybe he may have been getting them for a friend or something. I never responded to him, but have another response already so I'm done with the guy.
Lets all roll together in 20+ subarus to deliver the tires. After that, we can go on a cruise and grab a bite to eat.
