Is This Worth Thinking about???????

I got an offer to trade my s2000 for his 2002 WRX, Silver, 5spd
and the mods(which he wrote to me!):
(The car has about 78,150 miles. The car has the following upgrades: - 3 inch up pipe and down pipe - Putting on a blitz 3 inch full catback exhaust inabout two days. The car will have a 3 inch exhaustsystem all the way through! - Turbo axcess piggy back ECU (which you will be able to link up a labtop to inside the car) - Short ram intake - ACT racing Flywheel (Installed proffesionally about1 1/2 month ago...have receipt to prove it) - Exedy clucth and pressure plate (Installedproffesionally about 1 1/2 month ago...have receipt toprove it as well) - Blitz turbo timer - Boost controller)

IF the car really does not have any problems and runs awesome, would it be worth it(he is getting the full 3" done 2maro) I would take out the boost controller along with the turbo xs ecutec(whatever its called) and sell those, and the short ram, tell me if i should(i could do this 2maro) thanks guys!!!

 

would that be straight trade? Its kinda scary to get a car that had a boost controller imo .

 

um... so you had a sweet wrx with more mods that you knew most the history of the car, did a bigger turbo install then sold it bougth this s2000 did some mods casue you are trying to sell it now you are gonna trade it for a car that has had a bunch of replacment parts recently (why, what abuse etc etc)...

nothing like 2 steps forward 5 steps backwards huh... I would be patient.. yes a word you dont seem to quite get......

be patient show patience, or in easier terms WAIT for the right buyer get the price you are happy with then go buy a car you like better then someone trying to shovel their pile of onto you for your sweet ride...

sell S2K - buy new un-molested car - start modding

 

i trade my Wagon for yours!!! I include all the pretty stuff like extra EJ22T, DOHC heads, wings, etc...!

 

the car has a 2 year bumper to bumper warranty, worth about 1k dollars less....but.....I talked to the dmv and if i were to trade i pay no sales tax!!! that saves me 1200 right off the bat, it already has full exhaust, great condition, new clutch, no leaks, turbo is great(i would still get it checked out) so its a pretty damn even trade(my car is great but not perfect condition either) im not jumping on it but some stuff to think about.....

 

he doesn't work for WMC does he???

Sell and find a better rex

2) thats not a good deal

3) keep the s2000

4) lock your wallet in a safe deposit box before you start looking near cars anymore

1) Look for a clean rex if you really need one

2) 3" uppipe? wtf?

 

trade in for 07 or 08 wrx/sti.. would be funner to have new first owner car

 

To put it into perspective, take a look at who is telling you this might not be a good idea ^^^

 

KEEP THE 2K.

Maybe try to sell it and find a good condition (read NEW) 07. Then tune it for E85 and enjoy the thing your S2K will never have. TORQUE.

 

Sell the S2K, buy a NICE rex.
