I just picked up a 323 GTX for an unbelievable price, and I was wondering if anyone on here had any good links to more info about these mean machines. It looks like it's gonna be a ton of fun on the ice this winter, and if I get it up and rolling here soon, I may even do a couple of rally-cross events this summer.....Will have pics once I buy a shop vac and suck the squirrel nest off the top of the engine, lol.

You better hope it doesn't need brakes.

Fun cars though. A VF11 compressor bolts on and is an upgrade.

Do you have pics? A friend of mine owned three at one time in Bloomington.

No pics yet. It's out in Delano at a buddies place at the moment, it needs a t-belt and water pump, it had the brakes (rotors, pads, wheel bearings, seals, and new lines) about a year ago, right before it sat due to non-payment by the then-owner. I've found an intercooler through Corksport that bolts in the stock location, and the radiator looks a little rough, so I'll pick another one of those up when I do the water pump-t-belt. There are a couple of rust spots, the worst being the sunroof. (I read somewhere online that if I can find a moonroof from an escort/tempo? it will bolt right up.) The hatch has a spot on it, and the passenger rear quarter is starting to rust as well. Tires are good, and the paint is in pretty damn good shape as well. The interior is in great shape too, just needs a good vacuum and a wipe down.

I had someone give me a manual boost controller, but I can't really find anything for tuning, and I will be doing a 2.5" exhaust since the stock one isn't really bad, but just damn old. I'll be replacing the airbox with a cone filter, since it's filled with a chipmunk nest, lol. As far as any more plans for this thing, I have no idea for the moment.

Nice. Good that all the brakes and bearings have been refreshed.

There is some good information over at Road Race Engineering, as it appears they used to support those cars.

Yeah, and for the price I got it for I couldn't say no. It'll be a great winter ride, and I can still have some fun with it off the road, lol.

Yeah, I'm finding there are a lot of places that "used to" support these.......Not that I'm surprised, there were what, 1200 imported? I'm pretty excited to get this mofo rollin, this is one of those cars that I saw a while back and wished I could have picked one up, and now I have one, lol.

they have a Ford Laser TX3 which I believe was the same thing... not sure... but over there the 323 and laser were pretty much rebadged of each other...

I had a couple of them, wish I would have kept one. The only forum support on the net is the yahoo group. Congrads!
