I should projectably have the car in about 2 weeks, i bought it from the older brother of the guy who owns the tuner shop in apple valley, but i am pumped, i drove it recently and its got a heavy duty clutch that im not used to, but the thing is scary fast, alot faster than my 1.8t, anyone around the bloomington area wanna cruise sometime hit me up

    heh,

my RS probaly has more money sunk into it than any of the other ones around here (with its original engine still NA that is) and its not abot to challenege a 300whp WRX a anything except a short course autocross.

i was pleasantly suprised when the seller showed me the stat sheet, i didnt think it would be that high, but it did drive like it had 290, il bring it to a dyno day sometime and we can find out forsure, il actually have the car in my posession once i get rid of what im driving now. so we can try it out then

I doubt it was a mustang dyno. Should be a fun car as long as it hasn't been beat.

Its not that its a bad car, jason is just saying that the RS dyno read very low, so you car for sure would not have 290whp.

i donno, just ask Isikwrx and he should know for sure, right IsikWRX?

How many people sink that kind of money into a car, to produce that type of HP that don't hammer on it. I mean, if your not going to utilize the horse power, why mod it? The car sounds sweet, how come it is a local WRX with those kind of mods and no one knows anything about it?

So you gave him money today, but you haven't settled on a price? UM... :?:

    Curious, is the title clean?

  26. ShortThrow
    Online

    ShortThrow Guest

yeah the title is clean, and even if it wasnt it wouldnt matter to me as long as it runs fine, and i dont know why no one knows about it, all i know is the guy is the older brother to IsikWrx and older brother of the guy who owns metro auto salon, the only thing i could find wrong with it at all, is it didnt have a turbo timer, and the front rotors had some small heat cracks, and im not sure about the 290 hp but thats what the dyno report said, otherwise we will just have to race and find out suckas lol

oh yeah and what i meant about the money was i put some down so he would hold it for me until i sell what i drive now, and its written so he cant sell it to anyone but me for a certain time period

this is not bs. it dynoed 291whp and ill get the papers to prove it for him. its my oldest brother's car. vf 34 or 39 i believe is the turbo. same mods as mine but lil more (even tho i still whooped him). i was going to get this with my insurance money but i decided to drive my winter beater pos car 91 prelude and buy a bike and just save the money. so for all of you think this is bs, ill roll with him up to firestone in it. didnt readymix do 291whp too?

reason why nobody knwos about this car is he doesnt like to use the internet, hes 29 with 1 kid and another on the way (hence, selling the car) and he lives in boonfcuk anoka. lol. hes a hard worker with nice toys. ShortTthrow is going to be really lucky. you all will see.

Probably a Dynojet number, only way you could get a result like that on that turbo without race gas. Sounds like a nice ride.

Yeah, I made 268 whp on the mustang dyno at RS motors. It would be 300+ on a DynoJet.

Also, you don't need a TurboTimer...that isn't "missing." Convection currents move coolant through your turbo after the car is turned off. Hot coolant rises, while the cooler coolant flows down, causing a churning effect. Worst case scenario, you drag race 4 times and then keep the revs down below 3,000 while you drive to a parking spot. The cooling system is really efficient. If you don't believe me, come ride in my car when outside temps get around 45. ;)

sort of a thread hijack here, but what are you guys with the 20g's putting down on a dynojet? and... TD05H or TD06? (thinking about getting one, but i dunno if i have the bankroll to risk blowing up my car)

The 20g STi guys are putting down between 280 - 310 on pump gas. Erik is making 350+ on race gas.

better get used to it, it is insanely easy and cheap to get that kinda power out of a DSM, very people anywhere in Subaru world are doing it though.
