Looks like mother nature is starting to prepare the roads for all the Subaru drivers. I'm looking forward to my first winter with the subie.

Today should be a fun afternoon as long as none else smashes into me.

I heard on the news that MNDOT put an anti-ice solution on the roads last night, but the rain is going to wash it away before it snows.

Yea, I'm with my RE92's today...will see for myself how much they suck. Since the snow is falling, any good places to go (empty lots, etc..) to just test tires and push it a little without fear of running into anyone?

Lost power at work today in New Hope = gone home early.

When I was close to home I couldn't even take turns at 15 mph without sliding out wide (RE92s with 19K on them so far). Kinda scary.

stupid people drive down the very middle of the street. can't go on the right or your you'll hit a fire hydrant, can't go on the left or you'll hit oncoming traffic.

at least its like that until the plow goes through

Ya, I'm trying the Falken ZE 512 tires this year. They're ok... but for this weather, I miss my Blizzaks.

    Woot!!

We have about 2 inches in Roseville. I found 5 good places to have some fun on my way home from the dentist. County Roads B2 and C between 35W and Snelling are gold!! Tons of industrial areas with lit lots that are totally empty. They're not huge, but big enough for one car. Petco lot off of Snelling is BIG (near REI).

I need to do this more because it's f!cking addicting going sideways in a car!

This board is a bad influence. I'm thinking about trading the Outback for a WRX wagon...

In typical coon rapids fasion my extremely curvy neighborhood is un touched by the plow. This sure beats fwd...I'm never goin back...except back outside to slide around some more...

I put the snows on today and went and ravaged a few parking lots on my way home from karting around 11pm.

did not want to be driving in snow on those damn re92's at all.

I had some fun in the rain and then more fun in the snow today. I think my old 2.5RS was still easier to drive sideways than my rex. More torque right off idle and more linear power delivery. Oh, well. I'll start practicing those double-clutch downshifts into 1st gear again.

I still think a 1998 2.5RS with an open rear diff is the best drifting/screwing around on loose surfaces subaru.

Absolutely not... Nothing like locking the center diff and using the throttle to steer! :lollol:
