Might plan to put in a Flywheel and maybe Stage 1 Clutch and just wondering how hard/long does it take to do it? How about just the Flywheel? can anybody do it?

Yeah any one can do the swap. Its not bad unless your transmission gets hung up on the dowel pins. That makes the job 10 times worse. I actully broke part of the dowel pin taking the trans out. If there are any tricks to it I don't know them.

Fuji is the best tool you can have. Pm Fuji_k, he'll hook you up. He did my transmission work on my RS for cheap, and he REALLY knows his stuff.

Screw driver + BFH has worked for me fairly well. Just give it some good love taps all around. Maybe some PB blaster around the guide pins. And when reassembling grease the pins and make sure the pin holes on the bellhousing are clean. If your in there and have to take the clutch off to do the flywheel it would be kinda dumb not to do the clutch at the same time.

Edit: Oh i should mention it is FAR easier to do if you have a hoist on the motor. First time i did it with just a jack/2x4 on oil pan i spent a whole day swearing at it trying to get the right angle to mate them back together.

it's not THAT hard.... start to finish and having the flywheel resurfaced at the shop.....7hours for my SPEC stg 2 clutch install by myself. But ya, it varies 7-10hours depending. Yes I do it all on the floor. The STi 6spds are heavy though.....lolz
