I work autobody, and it would cost me $1000 in materials, and I would have to buy a junker in the meantime. I have a 96 GST now @21psi with some decent mods. I only miss the seats,handling and awd. Its nice being able to smoke new gen GTO LS1s :biggrin:
traded straight up, I was soo sick of having to look at the cars damage everyday. Its with a friend now, and I plan on buying it back when summer rolls around.

word, the ecu and a bunch of other stuff in the gc was mistu. I have some hks 272/272 cams on the way for my car, and they sound like boxer rumble on 4gs. My car isnt going to run the greatest until I get that 20g from flatline, but just being able to hear that sound:yumyum:
It was at 14lbs, I did injectors and fuel pump and Its safe at 21lbs, but I usually never let it go WOT anyway.
My friend has a 97 gst pushing 25psi with no crank walk or other issues, besides it being a mitsubitchi
Not too cynical, just stating the truth, ive been in the automotive industry for the last 6 years and have driven and dealt with tons of vehicles, mitsus and vws being the most problematic, even more then ford or GM believe it or not. that doesnt mean DSMs arent fast! thats a fact, you put mods near that engine and its a 12 second car
yeah, re read my post alex, they are fast as hell, for cheap as hell, but both DSMS that raced "dream" that one night, broke down
of the 2 talons I have been In, at idle the oil pressure would go down so low that the oil light would come on, both times I was like uhhhhhhh dude....... you oil light, they both responded back with something like oh its been like that since I got it....... OMG RUN AWAY! and yes, there are crazy fast dsms out there throw a mbc and injectors and holy mef watch out, remember if driving a DSM, never go further away from home than you are comfortable to walk back from.......
i had a galantvr4. had some lifter tick and that was about it. was pretty reliable for the time I owned it
