My wife and I went to Portland at the end of October for our 2 year anniversary, where i found with some research that Portland has one of the most authentic Japanese Gardens in the world outside of Japan... This Place was sooooo awsome... very peacfull and very tranquil even with all of the tourists.... just thought i'd share some pics... they are off my camera phone so they're not the greatest quality but you'll get the idea

after visiting those gardens, my wife decided that we need our own zen garden.

better make it an indoor garden, i doubt if most of those plants can survive the harsh winters we have here. :\

very beautiful..I need someone to come landscape here. We've gotten some stuff done but just aren't quite sure what to do with the lawn between the house and lake.

The only way they can do that is because of the climate they have in Portland.
