2.0 Liter, ej20g Engine, body and engine harness, ecu, intercooler and fuel pump all included I bought this to go in my new rally car, but have decided to go another direction. Had some interest in it a few months ago but never got it sold. I would really like it to go before winter so I can get the garage cleaned up. I have a number in mind for it, but would consider offers. I have been asking $1,300 for the whole package. I could possibly deliver it to the Cities for the buyer.
Unfortunately I don't know the miles. I do know that it is an engine from the mid to late 90's. It is similar to a 94 legacy turbo 2.2 I have here now. I do know the engine ran before I bought it. It appears to be in good condition. I have not installed and run it myself though.
Body? The engine comes with the harness to the engine and the harness for all of the "body" electrics. The body harness should work with a US Impreza, thought if you are considering putting the engine in an Impreza, I would just splice in the engine harness. It would be far easier. I had to purchase a turbo crossmember. It is in my Impreza and not for sale.
I'm not as up on the JDM engines, but I think the mid-late 90's WRX engine was closed deck. Some of the others on the site here might know better, but I believe it is.
Still available it is. got an interested party, but nothings set yet. get in touch. sorry about the double. not sure what happened
I am not sure. It is from a JDM WRX, approx 1995-1998. If that will help. The engine is in Alexandria, MN. About 100 miles up Interstate 94
Available again. I had someone interested in it, but he is no longer. Someone has to have a JDM engine in mind for their car. Get in touch and make me an offer.
i bought it from a company that imports JDM engines aftern they have been removed from the car. So I do not know exact mileage. They told me more than 50K and less than 100K, but I think they made that up and didn't know for sure. I do not have the engine in a car now so I cannot attest to leaking or not. There are no puddle on my floor and no evidence of leaking now though. I'd give you more information if I had it. The engine came with a guarantee when I bought it, but of course that was not transferable to the next owner.
i'd like to call you about the motor pm me your phone number please does it come with the down pipe? Richard D ps you've met my brother and I while we were co-driving/crewing for Jim Cox. scratch that i found a 2.5 short block, thanks for the contact back Richard
Can someone who's an expert on this older JDM stuff post up some more info about these motors? How do they compare with the 2.0l engines in USDM WRX's? I know some JDM STi motors have cool stuff like forged pistons. Anything special about this thing? Anyone know if its ODB I or II?
yes he is my borhter, I really would like to put this in my car and over on the legacy central forums this engine is kind of a big deal for the legacy. as for special parts I'm not sure on that. its about a 270 hp(could be wrong) motor which would be a 105 hp bump from my current RS motor!! your price is fair , as far as i've heard it would be great for a rs swap that is not in to huge number but is looking for a decent power increase for a GC8 , I'm starting to talk my self into it again.. I desided to build a NA mild engine for now. maybe a STi swap in a few years. does it come with the down pipe? Richard D.
go to Legacy central , join and search for EJ20G you'll find what you need. http://bbs.legacycentral.org/index.php?sid=86fb3f8e3c5faa87c03e0f0c9c2910f7
Is it a Ej20G? if so, then it is a fully closed deck motor, argueably stronger than a 22t because of its larger shuffle pins in the mains. but 2.0= No Torque compared to 22t 2.0 has around 200hp stock, 22t-160 (likely from the better flowing DOHC heads)
Its not necessarily a closed deck motor. If its from the mid to late '90s, then it is most likely not. If it has a crosshatch pattern on the bellhousing, among other areas, its closed deck. The EJ20G had more HP due to the heads, and they had an intercooler. The 22T had no IC and only ran 8.7psi. You're comparing apples to oranges, really.
That may be correct, but he said that motor is from the mid to late '90s, so it probably isn't, unless that crosshatch pattern is there.
Remember this is a JDM engine. It is a 2.0 liter, approx 265 horse. It is from a JDM WRX, about 95-98. I do not know if it is a closed deck. I have compared it quite a bit to a 94 legacy turbe (2.2 turbo) I have and they are very close. That engine is a closed deck I believe. Since these two are close in age and design if the 2.2 turbo engine is a closed deck I would guess this one may be as well. It does not come with the downpipe. I do have and am including the stock intercooler.
