Here are some pics I snapped over the last couple weeks while vacationing in Japan... Stopped by a small dealership to check out this little guy: The manager of the dealership daily drives this beauty: They offered me a ride and a test drive of a few cars, but we were running late already... and I don't have an international license... oh well, maybe next time. They did give me these as a gift tho lol Spotted this later that day: Which was almost as ridiculous as this one I saw in Vietnam a few days before... where this one sells for around 500k in a country where you'd be lucky to hit 60mph on the highway:
Monks love bimmers: Stopped by this shop: For $2k, I was seriously tempted to buy this for the week: Hai! Can has? All around the world, legacy owners can't park for ****: Pics from the local autozone: Pics of the attached service center:
Nice pictures. I like that legacy GT. So, what part of Japan were you in? Did you do any other site seeing while you were there? lol, and is your sig the caption for your avatar?
OMG I want one of those R32s. Red please. If not I'll settle for that wrb RSK. Sooo jealous right now.
lmao, yes! The avatar and sig should be mnsubaru's tagline as well. We were in Tokushima and Nara mostly, but went to play in Osaka and Tokyo a couple days. Mostly did family stuff, but did a couple touristy things... we went on an udon power tour one day and I went golfing another: Saved the touristy stuff for Vietnam where we got a boat tour of the Mekong river delta in Can Tho from some local friends: Also did some site seeing in Ho Chi Minh City:
omg that is insane. Those power cables do not look safe. Looks like an awesome trip. Some amazing cars you've spotted
Hey did you get a chance to check out some of their world famous race tracks? Did you take a ride in the speeding bullet train at least? How about some night shots of Tokyo? Good time for sure!
Why are these cars all surrendering ? I see a lot of JDM cars here, but they tend to be discouragingly expensive by comparison Looks like you're having a nice trip. Stuart.
so what is that tiny turbo'd car in the first pics? Lokks like a fun car. I love the new Legacy Wagon, would look better with fewer decals though...
damn...so many nice cars to drool over. Although personally I'd like to see more pictures of the sities and people you seen.

JDM Tyte Yo A phrase used to describe a car or to describe a modification done to a japanese car. Thoose Zip-Ties holding on your bumper are "JDM Tyte Yo" Now there can be truth to this statement on the rally carz!!!
It's missing the decimal, I'm guessing they are in 100k yen. Since it is about 100 yen to the dollar. I'm guessing that white RX7 to be about 8500 dollars.
10,000 yen, or about $100. So if the price tag says 23, it's about $2,300. Lots of haggle room for used cars over there too since emissions and taxes typically get more and more expensive as the car gets older. Yeah, Vietnam was crazy like that. I thought Taiwan was crazy when I went a few years ago, but Vietnam definitely blew my mind... there's something unsettling about watching a 100cc moped seated 4 deep swerve through traffic in a city with basically no traffic lights and traffic enforcement.
lol, yeah. $2000 in the U.S. gets you a 96 Ford Taurus. In Japan $2k is enough for a R32 Skyline. :eek4:
The top exhaust manifold in this pic is quite interesting. Must be for an N/A car. Also, I see Prova is still in business. Are they putting their name on the Accessport and reselling it?
