So my friends or team just came back from a three day Driving School and we were R&D'n two cars. I am currently putting together a more detailed write up for my own notes which will be posted in the BMW thread. http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30604 But the skinny on the first video is the stock 2010 Hyundai GenCoupe 2.0T with added tire pressure and flushed brake fluid. One of my best and favorite thing about this car is we did it all on 87 Octane. LOL My personal S14 at 70% power, we were running into all kinds of issue which was delaying our testing until Sunday. We ended cranking down the juice as one would put it. Short shifting and at 8/10ths, I could not put the power down as quickly as I'd like to to otherwise we would end up with blowby oil issues. After giving the pass to all these other instructors all weekend, it felt great to finally be the one doing the passing! LOL I appreciate and welcome all and any constructive critizum!  Data aquitions will be available much later. Enjoy! Cheech Ps the music was an added bonus from my tuner. :yumyum:
More pictures as requested, I have three different sources and will post them as they become available. Thanks Clarkson, u inspire me to want to be faster! http://www.flickr.com/photos/northstarbmw/sets/72157619121253770/
I have a suggestion. i need to try and make even more money so I can get my tranny fixed and get my ass out there to have fun like that! Ill just bring the 95 out there the way it is. Learn with something slow like you suggested.
Sure thing, just after you pay your dues first. Do you know just how many people have askeds me if they could drive it? Just a few to be honest becuz most people know its more than what they can handle. I did get a request from Chris Orr from Orr's Autosport. You can come to our events and play a role in on our team and I'm sure we can arrange something. Thnx for your interest. Were you referring to the GenCoupe? you can ask Justin if he'll let you test drive it. Its a fine machine. You don't need that much money to hang with me and my guys. Just show up and you'll learn a lot. I always take care of my team first. Thnx for the input!!!
I'm in, seriously hit me up next time you guys go up. I may not always be able to run (funds issue), but I can lend a hand, like to hang out, and sounds like I know quite a few people that were just up there. edit* Seriously, why hasn't bir put in real curbing yet!?
Thanks Ted, I'll keep you in mind for our next event at BIR as thats usually the events that require more hands. Otherwise you can come to the next event in July and lend a hand there, I won't mind working with ya. We would really like to get two different plateforms up and going for these types of events and would like to cross train each other in our areas of expertise.
Thanks, I've been wanting to test one of these and so being patient paid off. My friends were joking that the owner not only gave me his car, but also his wife since he insisted that I must take her out for a session. LOL I was too busy running around and trying to stay a float I didn't get it till moments later. LOL Here's one of my favorite:
