WHEN/WHERE: The next RallyCross Event will be held in Cannon Falls, MN on June 28th!!!! Course Layout: If we have a large number of participants we will shorten the course so we can get another run set in! FYI: If it's a smaller course we will make it very challenging! Lunch: MNSOC has been providing lunches at several of the past events and I'd like to get your feedback and ideas for other types of food you would like to see. Of course, this has to be something simple and easy for us to whip up. NEWBS: If you have never participated in a Rally Cross event THIS venue is probably one of the best to learn on so sign up, show up, and get your car dirty dirty dirty! Directions from HWY 52: Take the Cannon Falls exit and head WEST on HWY 19 for 3.5 miles. Turn LEFT on 30th AVE and go .5 miles. Turn LEFT on 325th St. and go approximately .6 miles. Yes, kinda cool, kinda a bummer. I know you'd agree the Elk River site is too soft for 20+ cars and the Peace site is not available to us...IIRC. Because we're using the same site I've worked it out with the land owner to make a different course. I'm heading down the weekend before to plan lay it out.
cant wait RALLY RALLY RALLY!!! oh and someone owes me a bottle of goose unless they want to make it double or nothing
i'll come to hang out, after gravity park I'm boycotting driving any rally where I need more 2nd gear than 3rd gear until next year.
No bogey time. You are free to take last. There are also no jumps or other car breakers. The truth is that Carl is afraid of getting beat by an automatic legacy while he is driving his rally car.
not afraid, i know the tleg (any tleg) would beat me (actually pretty much any running car would be faster). the car is not fun for me to drive in a rallyx setting in it's current form. if I'm not going to be competitive, I at least want to have fun. the powerband and gearing don't match up at all for rallyx speeds, it's pretty painful to drive
for some ride alongs and pointers when I'm driving i could let you share the sti just have to promise to keep all the wheels on the ground
Food question bump Bump!!!! Food feedback please!!!! Any other type of food people like to see at the events? Even though Sara Drury did a great job actually cooking the dogs thoroughly I'm sure we're all getting kinda sick of them....am I right? :dunno: What other cheap and easy food can you peeps suggest?
i'm just brainstorming, not all ideas will be good ones fish fry, soup/stew/chili, kabobs (time to prep but easy to cook), beans, burgers, brats, hot dogs, potluck (only can eat if you brought something), pasta salads, potato salad, lettuce salad, grilled chicken, famous dave's catered, pulled pork (if on sale is really cheap) also, hot dogs and burgers seem cheap but with all the extras it adds up - several searches reveal chicken, steaks, and pork chops can be just as cheap a bunch of ideas here... http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf760292.tip.html
Yep, but I wouldn't worry about classing for now. Just go out and have fun. Oh, and I vote chili for food at the next event. : )
thanks for the input!!! Keep'um coming! I'm hoping it will be warm (June 28th~ supposed to be summer...supposed to be :hsugh So Chili might be out of the picture
yes so many jokes lol..I was waiting for something like..I will give you my meat...or my meat tastse better when its not in a pot..
speaking of rofl's... who is packing those for this weekend? I have some left over LOL but we need ROFL - Dan provided excellent ROFL last time with _________ on his hands.
back to food, pulled pork is really freaking easy in a crock pot - however keeping it warm for the trip and not sloshing around and spilling in someones car is an entirely different story
Oh no, Im not worried. I just wanted to make sure I signed up correctly. and yes, Chili sounds AWESOME :yumyum:
I don't know, until the last Nemadji I would've said team Ziptie couldn't set a grill on fire either. Is it time for a "Trash Talk" thread yet? Amy
Whether it's the grill, the car, or the local waitress threating to burn one of us...I'll admit zip tie rally team has issues with fire...
