Junebug Rally '09 pics and vids

Thought I'd start a new thread for just the media from the event. Will, could you repost smaller sizes of your original pics here? I'll put a couple videos up and link to the rest on Youtube. These first ones will just be the raw video. I'll splice 'em together with some music later, once I can find a good free prog to do it.

Thanks for the pictures Russ. They turned out great! And you did catch my debead in the second runset. Now that I look at the pics I'm not even sure I hit a rut, I think my left front tire just gave out. I did go back and check out that corner and it wasn't rutted very deep after that runset.

Unfortunately, I didn't have my camcorder batteries fully charged, so we ran out of juice just after lunch and couldn't record the last 2 sets, which is a shame, since we were all getting faster and better (except for Tony the Digger, maybe ). Heck, I was getting so into it, I nearly did a third run by accident (only allowed 2 per set)!

 

Back Road Runner - My dad really enjoyed seeing you whip around the course, he couldn't believe a forester could go that fast. lol.

 

Actually, that was me driving dave's car that made those tracks. I went waaay off course on that corner.

 

Nobody realizes it's just an Impreza chassis just with the box back end. I've done a little suspension work to mine though, so it handles considerably better then stock. I still lacks power relative to the turbo cars, but it turns great. It remains quick as long as I keep on the gas as much as I can get away with. This was my first rally-x on my current suspension setup, and I am quite pleased with its operation. I was worried because of how stiff it now is (350F/250R), but I've found bump travel to be the bigger factor rather then spring/damper stiffness(why I'm sitting a little high).

 

Yeah, you seemed pretty fast. My car was the same way, the minute you lift off the gas, the tail end is everywhere if you're turning the least bit.

Fixed. Jesse, you got some talent, sir (and some kick-ass tools, and you borrowed me your rims/tires, and yeah..:bowdown.
You put up some impressive times, being that Emily's car is auto.

 

Ahh, no love for my hawkeye... J/K! I don't think we got your Talon on video either, though... ran out of battery juice too soon. Would have loved to seen you in motion! (Wanted a Talon pretty bad a few years back).
