It's been a couple years but I moved here from North Carolina. I'm still adjusting to people and the weather. The roads here are also terrible but I've guessed that it has a lot to do with the freezing conditions during Winter. Other than that I love the diverse cultures and great food. I'll check out the Events Center and try to attend as often as I can but sadly I work weekends and am only available during Mon-Weds.
Where from North Carolina? Hickory? Morganton? Charlotte? Raleigh? I used to live in NC, my folks are still down there farming. I go back once a year to visit. Never looking forward to NC but always happy to see the fam. Did you have your FRS when you were still in NC? Man I would love to drive the FRS and WRX through the windy roads of NC.
Nice two car setup! Similar to mine, although I might unload my Legacy and pick up some sort of wagon/crossover.
Yeah, I absolutely love my two ride setup here. The FRS is a very brash and sports car centric vehicle while the WRX is a wolf in disguise (but not really, because, look at that hood scoop). I daily drove the FRS for over a year and it was definitely taking its toll on me so I had to find a more compliant car but I definitely didn't want to lose much or any fun. Now that I have both cars I love hopping in between them back to back to feel the differences in characteristics. What one cannot do the other one can. Also, driving the FRS during winter wasn't the best experience. Hopefully the WRX with a good set of winter tires will make it less mentally taxing to drive during inclement weather conditions. I was really concerned that once I got the WRX I was going to neglect the FRS but honestly it makes me enjoy the time that I spend in the FRS more now that I don't HAVE to drive her. I honestly feel like this is a great two car setup and I'm really proud that I've made these purchasing decisions.
I lived in a lot of areas in NC. Grew up mostly in Charlotte and then moved to Statesville which is sorta in between Hickory and Charlotte. Had tons of family in the Hickory and Morganton area (Dem Hmongs I tells ya). Sadly I did not acquire the FRS until I moved to MN. I would have truly enjoyed driving on those back country roads. How long have you been in MN? DO I KNOW YOU?!?!?!?
Lol, probably not. I've only lived in NC for two years, moved out of my folks house after high school. Been back in MN since 2007. I got a pretty big Xiong family in the Hickory/Morganton area. I knew a few Thao, Lee, and Vang people along with a bunch of the pothead bboys from Morganton lol.
