just installed hks bov need help!!

the little hose that goes to the bov is to big for the hks so can i just plug it for the ride home from work and be okay till i get a smaller vacuum hose tomorrow??? give me a call i cant be on here! 651-815-7087

 

your bov won't do anything without the vac hose hooked up.

 

so will i be alright driving home till i can get to the auto parts store tomorrow?

 

no, put the stock one back on and do it right tomorrow. its only a 20 min install if that

 

probably. just stay out of of boost because it won't open

 

this would be the far better thing to do though

 

It would be best to get another piece of hose, and stuff it into the bigger one. As long as it's not a loose fit, it won't be a leak either. Mine has a reducer in it, as it should.

 

yeah i got it from flat4 tonight tradin my xbox......and i didn't get a smaller piece of hose..maybe i got some layin around here at work

 

It should have a reducer to correct the size difference.

Sorry i wasnt around my phone after i got home. I can see if i can pull the reducer off in the morning. i didnt even realize that there was a reducer. sorry about that

 

no biggy man i found some vacuum hose at work that was same as stock but softer and used a u-bolt clamp to tighten it around the bov nipple i is smart im runnin to the auto parts store today so no big if you get it off or not

no really it doesn;t and its got a slight leak now cuz of the wrong size hose with a clamp :biggrin: so when i get the reducer and the right size hose i'll let you know for sure but it idles fine and seems to pull the same...and one more benefit psssshhshshhshshhshhshshhsshhshshhhss..pop.pop lol

 

slightly rich tho..but since my xpt map was kinda lean to begin with its a gravy

 

I get a pop at partial throttle with my stock bpv and a full catless exhaust. I'm interested in trying the ssqv or the aps twin vent and some form of the 50/50 valves. Someone pm me if they got one for sale.
