2.5 would explain the torque, not going to take back my original comment but I must admit I thought this was a 2 liter.

Sorry guys, its an 07 Aspen White TR. I have no EM in the form of an AP or UTEC or anything like that. I had Shane at DB do an openecu tune on it. Thanks for all the comments! Oh and yea....migrated away from that b.s. Shibbs :).

    lol

Roon - If you upgrade, upgrade to something worthwhile. GT32 twin scroll. Oooooo... That would be sweet on a 2.5L.

Price compare Eli, yes anything GTXX is sexy especially twin scroll but look at the cost versus the Mitsubishi flavor.

OpenECU is great. Especially if you intend to use pump gas forever. The tune uses your stock ECU to do the calcs, so it has the potential of being as smooth as stock. I have an OpenECU tune for idle.

hmmmm. ive thought about the AP management but its so expencive even used. and i dont really plan on making any super nigh numbers. id just love to get closer to 280whp maybe. and on pump gas for life...

so a openECU tune is could work for me then.

Makes more torque than my 16g'd 2.0, I need an excuse for more displacement.

for the numbers you are looking for i can offer a comparison:

I got about 232WHP/282WTQ (on the mustang dyno at RS) from the same setup plus an STi intercooler. However on race gas its 245WHP/312WTQ, which is all the tranny can really even handle. This is an 06WRX, so basically the same car.

I'd say get a way to switch between maps and run race gas and you can reach your approx goals (as much as the tranny can take) on the stock turbo.

its a GC dude, if you get 250 wheel you will walk on STIs, you are fine where you are at
