i wouldnt really call it a movie. we are going to try and take a bunch of vids and put them together to make a movie. this was just a couple shots. pete's spool is nutz.
I know. I saw the vid on the camera. I think it looses something in the translation. I don't know anything about the way his camera transfers, so I couldn't tell you if there is anything he coudl have done differently. I do have a video capture card on my computer. I don't know if that would yeild a better image or not. Next time, daylight video taping FTW.
Yes it was much darker than on the camera. I'm going to check the settings on the computer. Also we should mess around with the night shot next time to see if that cleans it up. mad sp00l y0

Yep...all the pulls in my car were in the begining, Justins were later on. The little clip of the dig at the begining you can really hear it.
i'm running stock. i can switch to turboxs for the next vid if you want more noise. o, and i can take off the stock airbox and put the perrin sri on to so you can actually hear it. everyone should start taking short vids and what not them we can compile them together.
that would be cool to do a dig and a roll of everyone who wanted to participate. then people shopping for intakes, exhaust systems, bov's etc would be able to listen to them first. Or what about a video thread where we could each have our own short vid and mod list maybe?
I plan on doing a before and after for my catback install. I should of done a before and after for braking distance for my rotor/brake install lol! I do love taking vids and have the software for editing. I plan on taking in car footage of the Duluth trip too btw.
Just in case you deside to do this again... I have a mount for a camera that bolts to a hood trunk or door that could be fun for this. I also have two video camera and my digital that does pretty good video. One of the cameras has night shot. If timing is good I could help. Just let me know.
ooooo that would be sweetness. I know Justin has one also but his I think is a lot of effort to hook up on short notice. In car cam on the duluth trip might be fun. For the most part people behave on the drive up so we don't lose group members. Occasionally people are doing freeway pulls though and that might be cool to tape(under the speed limit of course :biggrin: ).
Great! Feel like working with me to make a cool vid? This would be awesome to get the cam that suctions to the outside of the car. The one i used before was AWD101's. However i just got my harness bar yesterday and will be installing tonight..now i just need a video camera.
well, ill share here what i came up with for my wrx for doing video so you guys can try it yourself if you want. I have a normal size digital video camcorder (i have a mini i can use for something else too btw..). I place the camcorder into the passenger headrest slot. The headrest is designed to not go down, but it freely goes up. I thus use a rope and tie from the top of the seat thru the back and compress down the headrest. you can place something under the rope to disperse the cable pressure. I then use duct tape to make sure it doesnt shift around at all (and duct tape is always needed for a project anyway). This makes it easy for me to turn on and off, I can talk to give comentary, play music if i wanted to (though i dont because it is better to add music later) and you can listen to the engine going withought hearing wind. I have had plans on adding more mics to it, and now that I am finaly getting a catback installed next week I am even more excited to do this again. oh, btw if you wanna see what it looks like, I have a couple pictures i cut out of a vid i did that I put into my car profile.
So you guys know, since this is easily playable in windows media player, if you choose View/enchancements you will have some choices, of which video settings there to brighten and add more contrast when a video is too dark. doesnt help much with this one since it is so dark but it helps a little. Justin, I think you could of lightened it up pretty good with your recording software when making it. I dunno what your using but are you going to be at firestone this weekend?
Yeah i'll be there tonight with the rest of the crew. It was petes camera and he did all the trasfering. I know very little about making vids and stuff. Did get my harness bar on last night so now i just need a camera mount and camera.
