ALL I really know is to stay away from anything that says FRAM on it...SO my vote will be 100% K&N...IF i had to chose from those two...

Stock paper filter. Any gains you might see would be measured in a fraction of a HP, and any extra flow that you might actually get from a high-flow intake filter is just allowing more dirt & abrasive crap into your airstream. And of course, with the K&N, if you're not careful about how much oil you put on it, you can muck up the MAF.

If you really want to, I'd say K&N. I'm not a fan of ANYTHING Fram. I laughed when they started getting into lubricants now, too. Anyway. Stick with what's proven. K&N, if only for the reusable-ness.

Supposedly the Air Hog's are the exact same patent and design as the K&N's.

    That being said...

I'd go with the K&N. The price difference is small and like jackbauer said...trusted brand.

However, I also agree with Vector about the stock paper filter really being the best choice.

K&N filter is a pain to get in and out of my 07 WRX! Just worked on it today. I don't like the thicker rubber making it a B*tch to put in and take out. You practically have to take the entire box out to swap it.
