Saw it on the news. Saw a WRX vs a bike..hey Nit (Imprezawrx9), was that you vs GC8's friend on a bike? I know it was you...lol. Interesting video, said "Ricers" on it, funny. There was also that yellow m3 vs. that black srt4 by those russians too on video, racing! I know that was you Nit, you raced that srt4 and that bike! Don't lie! Lolz. http://www.kare11.com/player.aspx?aid=14427&bw=
What the story didn't cover was that "all" automotive enthusiasts (whether they like imports or american muscle or the cavalier next door) have got into an acceleration contest at least one time in their life. It's the smell of speed that makes us what we're into. I admit that I wouldn't be an enthusiast if I didn't want to get behind the wheel and tear through the gears.
That was me , the guy on the bike was not "GC8"'s friend.They were begging me to race them.I was hoping they show me rape that "Srt-4" (neon).but we knew they were there taping us so we left 5mins before the cops came cuz i didn't want to get in trouble
my friedn from school was there (blue h22 accord). he told me to watch this but i forgot bout it (too much GT4). he said that the WRX p0wn3d that srt4. gj on that, put that neon in its place lol. (my buddy was really impressed with your car)

pretty much the same stupid waste of time that the news stories about it last summer or the summer before were
what you don't realize is how they portrayed the imports as dangerous, but the muscles as innocent people having a good time. i saw flames coming out of an exhaust system... i saw burn outs... hell, what about that idiot who thinks he did 0-80 in 4.5 seconds with an et of 12.1 at 110 mph? he ran 80 mph on university ave! what import is stupid enough to do that? as soon as we hit 50, cops are already on us... but he got up to 80!!!! and he even tried to peel out when he left the lot. nothing! if i ever peeled out (since i'm running winter tires, i can do small burnouts), i'd be busted as soon as my first tire slipped! hell! as soon as it was on my mind, a cop would be like, "son, i know you're already thinking about it, so here's your ticket!"
sadle enough if you really think about it which cars are safer. import or muscles? muscle cars have zounds of body flex, and handle like frieght trains. not to mention they have no airbags, and very little dash padding. while imports have more safety feautres and can handle way better IMO older cars are far more dangerous.

I come from Australia and have dealt with this for many years.. nig knuckle dragging cubic inch bragging guys giving crap to rotories.. you w@nk w@nk until they get eaten alive by a 1.3 litre engine in their 350 chev... I really do like all cars.. let me rephrase that.. I appreciate any car that someone has genuinely invested into.. I am not a fan of slapping on a huge wing and primered bumper.. sadly there is way to much of this and that gives genuine tuner people the overall rep of being a ricer..
i'm sorry, but kare 11 having mentioned the term "ricers", that's just pure ignorance. they definitely have no clue about discrimination. the majority of the cars are in fact imports, but you'll get your occasionaly mustang and neon there too! there's a few chevy's here and there... so i don't know that's "ricey" about them... more or less, wheaty to me! they should've done a little research on this because most of the hot heads meant in calling the imports "ricers" is due to the asians primarily driving these cars. sadly, we don't discriminate, we only get discrimated on. don't get me wrong, i'll call another car that's just done all wrong a rice... but that's because if you know someone like me, i like my rice done differently.

erik lets see this beast at firestone this weekend. maybe we can do a head on collision to prove everyones' theories right or wrong. }}

i used to have an oldsmobile too! it wasn't in anything near good condition, but the engine was immaculate! 5.0l V8 307 cubic inches... it roared when it was floored. 1983 Oldsmobile Regency 98. kinda miss it now...
mines a 79 cutlass supreme, it now has a 1970 rocket 350 (5.7 liter) which stock has 280 hp and over 300 ft lbs, but i have done a few things to it, milled heads, edelbrock intake manifold, dynomax headers, performer cam and 750 cmf carb, it will be a beast when done, but i have nowhere to work on it (till now, i got a house!) it should be done either summer, or winter, or next summer
Have you ever seen any indepth thing on kare 11 that wasn't screwed.... They always sound like the parrents that want to be hip but cant.... Anyways I will find out monday if I am getting a 74 stingray. Looks cool, but dam is it slow right now.

My import-driving buddies all call my 350-powered Chevies "big iron", which I suppose is in the same vein as calling an import a "rice burner".
one head on as in, the other one is still being worked on by me i think ide rather be called "big iron" then "rice burner" any day,but thats just me.... Im quite proud of my olds and my scoob.
well, how about we start thread on naming import-type cars? rice mobiles rice pots rice-a-roni... hahaha those will be the neons any other thoughts?
Funny my coworker is in the video, He told me about it, he's in the background talking to some people at porkies, not street racing.
