Like the title says, my keys wont start my car sometimes. I have a Viper alarm/remove start system that I use almost all the time to start the car, then put the keys in and drive. Sometimes if I am lucky the key will start the , but its about 50/50. Is this as easy as replacing the ignition cylinder, or more complicated like the remote start not wired correctly... or both?!
Same original key. They key never gets stuck. Always smooth to turn/put in and out. It just doesnt start the car.
Maybe a long shot - make sure you press the clutch pedal far enough otherwise it won't start. Seems I make that mistake about once every 20 starts.
Hey Henry! Sounds like it would most likely have something to do with the remote starter. Any way that you can disconnect it easily? If you do end up needing an ignition switch, i have an 03 WRX one with key and fob(and doorlocks).
