i got 6 brand new Kicker CVR 12's they are dual 4ohm voice coil subs brand new still in the package! can handle up to 800 watts peak and anywhere from 100-400watts rms. not a picture of the actual item but you get the idea... like i said these are brand new, the last person who saw these was the person who packed them. im pricing them to sell 120 each OBO.
I kept wondering, how come most of KICKER subs have smaller magnets then most others in the same level?
kicker uses a different material for the magnet that is stronger so therefore they dont need a big magnet at least not in this class. the size of the magnet doesnt really have much to do with the quality of the sound either, the only plus of a bigger magnet is that it can dissipate heat faster making it a little more efficient. those who want a big magnet are the guys who are going for sound comp/ spl. the bigger the magnet the bigger the voice coil can be so it can give you the louder thump.... but the louder thump doesnt mean it will sound good. haha hope this makes a little sense.
