how i feel so bad for this guy! man would this suck http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1137262
Yeah, what a tragedy. Possibly a fuel leak from the fuel lines in the engine bay. What I find funny is that people were talking about how a fire extinguisher inside the car would have saved the car. Well, maybe he'd save the seats with it, but the minute he opens the hood to extinguish it, his hands would've been BBQ; not to mention his facial hair would curl and crisp from the intense heat.
Yeah. I agree with the one guy who posted that a 2k fire suppression system under the hood would have been a good idea. Hell, they put 20k ones on fuel trucks, and thsoe arent pushing 75psi+ in the fuel lines like this car was.
I was at Cabelas one time during the winter, and I was parked with the car idling. Then I started to smell fuel. I opened the hood to find one of my lines leaking! SCARY!! SO I spent that afternoon in the bitter cold replacing it. DAMN the fuel lines are hard to pull off.
i agree, but i do feel that a decent sized fire extinguisher being shot down the hood scoop and around the top of the hood (hood is tilted) could have slowed/stopped the fire. but a cutesy APC fire extinguisher definitely wouldn't have done it.
hmmmm goes to show what is really under the skin of soem of the nice cars.... like most the women you see.... dig under the pretty layer and its aint so pretty....
