The deadline for signing up for the SCCA banquet is TODAY. You can e-mail, pm or snail mail the response and money. If you want to paypal, use [email protected] . The flyer can be seen at http://scca-lol.org/forum/index.php?topic=311.0 .
The sign-up form is in the link Mark U had in the first post. It's one of those print, fill out, and mail sorts of forms But if you paypal'd, make sure to PM or email Mark with your info, so they can put that together with the payapal and expect you.
I have Dan, Emily, Amy, Mark H, Denny, Paul, Ryan and Kevin on the list. I haven't heard from the following Subie RallyCross winners; Carl Siegler Josh Storlie Joel Kucera Kyle Rodriguez You all have trophies coming. Come out to pick up the hardware and/or support those that earned it!
I paypal'd last night mark (address might have come up under steveschreurs at comcast.net or carl.siegler at gmail.com but my name is in the message body)
I just realized I typed the wrong email for paypal in the original message. I should have typed [email protected] for the paypal address. I am guessing that you and Dan used the wrong address based on my typo. Would you please delete the previous payment and send the payment to the corrected address? Sorry for the hassle.
I wont be able to come to the dinner, unfortunately, due to distance and other things beyond my control. Not necessarily in that order. - Kyle R.
Dress code...there isn't one per say, but in the last could of years, I would say that everyone was dressed nicely...as if you were going out to dinner at a nice resturant. Jeans are acceptable, but most guys are in Khakis or dress pants if I remember correctly.
Is a t-shirt and cargo pants acceptable? Reason i ask is that i don't actually own any nice clothes. :hsugh:
I wish I was going to this, but work party is the same night. Have fun everyone!!!! If I may offer one suggestion to the rally-x planning party. Make the rally-X school an annual event. It was a blast and I learned a lot. The only thing I would've changed is the weather. The instructors and organizers really "took one for the team" to stand in the cold and snow all day Thanks everyone!!!
that would be fine. I would recommend a polo if you have one... but we don't want anyone not to come because of a dress code.
We'll miss you!! But I promise, our aim will improve..... Seriously though, the school is one thing that is on my list to talk about. I'm thinking one maybe mid-season or so. It kind of came up towards the end of the season and that was about the place we could fit it in this year. I love the idea of the school. I think it was a big hit and I think it would continue to draw in the newbies more if they have a chance to learn from their, and others, mistakes with some good guidance like you guys got this year. We did one the year before that more improv than this one was. It did good but I think this one far outshined it. Sorry we won't get to see you Dave (and Kyle also). We will have a write up on here and on the rally egroups about what was discussed at the meeting and what we have in store for this season. Then we will post a schedule once we get it nailed down. Thanks again guys and gals for a great season! Let's keep it going on into this season and beyond. I think we're gonna have some great competition this year after seeing how well people improved over this past season.
this was a fun event! thanks to everyone who helped put it on, also thanks to all the people who made this past rallyx season such a blast! I'm looking forward to 09
^^^Thanks Eric. Yeah, I was real bummed out I had to miss this one. And of course by the time I got done crying that I couldn't go Dan had to call me and remind me of the party again:emo:  I hope you all had fun and I agree with carl, 2009 is going to be a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS TIMES TEN!!! I sure could go for more food right about now,..ummmm garlic bread...see ya all next season! better watch out.
We both know the real story Carl. We had a great battle all year long. I can't wait to do it again next year. Maybe we can try to give Mark a run for his money at an event or two next year.
