I've got a pair of basically unused 7443 LED brake lights with built-in flasher, $33 vs the retail price of $38 plus shipping. I got one set after seeing them in action on @Sjogun's car and they work great in my 2005, but this set that I got for our 2011 freak out its CAN bus - so I would recommend these bulbs for non-CAN Subies (before 2008 I believe?)

That's the "built-in flasher" part, when you press the brakes the bulbs give a quick triple-flash to wake up the tailgaters on their cell phones, then goes solid.

Never been pulled over for them either. They have been installed for several years.

Nice I was just gonna order leds for my tails. Do you need special ones for the blinkers at all? Will the flash faster?

If you do blinkers, you need a resistor(flasher module)..I believe some of the bulbs have them internally now, but when I did mine I had to buy a flasher module to replace the oem one.

Yea i was looking on that site and I've ordered from there before. Just so many different options to pick from and I wasnt sure of the resistors and what not. Was thinking of doing the interior as well.

CAN bus sometimes makes me freak out also!

Anyone have a video of what these look like in action? How bright are they? My tails have the uber dark tintzorz.

Thanks again Eric! Also doing the part of helping me install them. People have actually distanced off a bit when I hit the breaks. haha
