I know everyone probably has mixed feelings on them but that’s not what this is about.

I’m curious if anyone’s installed one.

I’m very curious if they’re the same size as the GR chasis, and if I could install one on my sti.

from what I’ve read they’re the same size but the housing is different and the mounting system is totally different.
I guess I’m curious if with mild modification I could install it.

have a feeling lots of folks have done badge replacements, so I’m looking at you. :)

Ended up ordering the JDM version from import image racing for ~250$
Come to find out the badges are exactly the same size! Yay!
    “Img_970”

only took me about 6 hours (mostly because the battery in my dremel was dead)

Comparison of the back side mounting surface differences “img_978”

cutout required on the front most bezel “img_980”
This needs to be removed from the main bezel with a couple #1 screws that are probably hella rusty.

cutout template of the rear, further in bezel. This was the starting point, a lot more needed removal, which took more time with my dead dremel. “Img_979”

Bezels remounted together and what it looks like from the rear. “Img_982”

I ended up using little brackets from picture frames (there’s a framing store down the street from me) these are 1/4” brackets and they worked absolutely perfect. “Img_983”

What it looks like in the garage “img_985”

I ended up splicing it in with the fog lights because I always have them on and always want this on. Plus splicing into the HID harness sounded like a pain I wasn’t willing to overcome.
