Well, now that I've got the old unit out, i don't really have any use for it.

So, what makes this one special? I bought and installed the Leptronix Aux-in.

The leptronix kit is the best one IMHO to bring aux in to the Legacy platform, with auto sense and clean sound, but it's a bit trickier to install than other options, as you have to gut the radio down to the board, and solder in a few connections to allow the input.

The way i used it, it was in auto mode, so if it sensed input, it would override the the selected source and play the input audio. This worked awesome with my XM unit and phone. I'd also thought about attaching a bluetooth streaming unit to the input and make the whole thing wireless. The options are pretty endless.

The large spool of wire off the back is for the optional switch. i still have it, and the connections are covered with some heat shrink tubing to make sure they wouldn't ground out. With the switch, you can override the auto for low level audio sources, or manually flip the aux override on and off.

All the info on the Leptronix Kit is here:

The leptronix kit alone is $115 shipped in the US, and a functional but used 7 disk should have no problem fetching $85.. Throw a guy $50 for his efforts installing it.

    I'm looking for $250 OBO
at that price I'll throw in a 3.5mm audio extension cord, so you can run the jack to your armrest, glovebox, or dashboard console. Installation assistance can be available, and is open to negotiation.

You didn't mention it, so I'm assuming you don't need a stock unit in trade?

Nope, no trade required at that price. I may be willing to negotiate something for a trade with deposit, but a stock HU doesn't hold much value to me as I'll just have to store it.

I need this or spend the 800+ on the double din conversion.

    you mean this?
    http://www.amazon.com/JL-Audio-CL441DSP-CleanSweep-Interface/dp/B000OI7TTI
Which would offer you an Aux In, but you'd have to also pony up for at least one amp, wiring, and tear the car apart to install it.
Granted, it would sound better than just the stock headunit doing it's thing, but it doesn't add much for features beyond it's single Aux in.

At least with the double din setup, you can add nav, bluetooth, reverse cam, etc..

    Nope, there.
I'd rather sit on it than sell it for less than this. It's now at the sum of it's parts on the used market.
I'm fairly confident it'll sell though, as I've already gotten a few hits over on LegacyGT.com
