I'm wondering if putting your front plate on your dash is legal as long as it can be seen from 100ft and the tags are visible.

    Thnx

It was also pointed out to me one time that doing this posed a serious risk of head severance in case of an accident. That thin metal plate could suddenly turn into a whirling blade of death. $0.02

Ask Bielke55 how he mounted his pretty slick actually. There is that risk of danger in an accident though.

At Mercedes the new cars would come in with super sticky foam pad... We'd stick that piece behind the plate and place it on the dash or rear hat shelf. Ive been told every time ive gotten pulled over that its illegal not having a front plate... but i never gotten pulled over just for that... ive just gotten a reminder everytime.
