Well I am now a wagon owner and am looking for ideas on what springs to install. I've been to Nasioc and there seems to be tons of options. Post your shots(side shots preferred) and list what springs and struts you're currently on.

This is my DD so i'd like to keep the handling sharp/firm and ride somewhat comfortable for the rug rat while getting a drop while i'm at it.

I'll start by posting a side shot of the new Dragon Wagon of Complete Destruction on stock springs/struts.

Here's mine, I'm not quite sure what the springs are. The best guess that Jack and I have are probably Eibachs. They're not bad, but I'm looking to go to SPT or RCE Wagon springs before too long.

Carl- not the direction i'm going with my wagon but definitely a sweet setup.

Brian- are you on stock struts? Stance looks really nice. I've been thinking RCE Yellows but they might be a bit too harsh a ride and kill my stock struts faster than most springs, or so I hear.

96zj- Swift springs were on my list until I saw some photos of saggy buts. Do you have shims in the rear? Like the stance on your wagon. I think the drop for my car would be 1.2"F and 1.2"R which is why it gets the saggy but look. Suppose a shim could help that out.

Rexarew- Post away. I'm just looking for springs at the moment but maybe the thread could be turned into a wagon suspension thread at a later date and help others out with their setups.

Okie dokie... I don't remember what coilovers are in the wagon.
(curly might know since I bought it from him) And this is the only up to date pic I have, not the best angle. The Coilovers are all the way up right now, will be tucking those wheels in more this month! :)

No spacers and no saggy but, the Swift springs for the bugeyes a 1.2" front and .6" in the rear drop. I don't know why but the hawkeye springs are 1.2" and 1.2" ???

Here is a good reference http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=plg1Ea3xR9HfIsfeL_KhwEw&gid=1

Paul, they are stock struts. If you want these springs when I switch over you're more than welcome to them.

I have Tein Type Wagon coilovers on my 03 wrx wagon. They're adjusted about as low as they can go and it's a significant drop. They ride pretty nice though, not harsh or bouncy, that might be because they have 70k miles on them, they're getting worn out. I'm going to either adjust them higher this weekend or put stock springs/struts back on if I can't get enough height out of them.

Here are some pics of my other wagon.

    There. Or here. Sometimes both.
I have no pics, but I'll second the Prodrives. I have the original linear-rate blues on my 02 TS wagon and the handling is great. Also, the drop is perfect and evened out wheel gap nicely.

IMO, there is nothing uglier than a car that has been dropped too low. It looks terrible, rides terrible, and handles like crap.

    Function over form. Always.

Here are the best profile shots I could find of my car. Eibach ProKit springs over stock struts. I think the rear is just a little too low (but I go back and forth on that a lot). The handling is great, though, and the ride quality is almost stock. The wheels in the second pic aren't mine, but you can get a sense of what 17x8s look like with Eibachs on a wagon. :-D

i had swift sedan springs (in my sedan) and LOVED them. the handling, ride height, everything. dont know how long they lasted as i bought the car with them and i abused it plenty with them on there. when i went to pull some parts off the car i found 2 broken ones (d/s rear, p/s front) but it looked like corrosion was the culprit.

Whiteline Control, stock struts, and butt spacers also tires are 205-60 so they fill the wheel wells a little more than 205-55s

Also looking through my photobucket i found this photoshop that i did a year ago that i thought looked good

Anyone have any examples of sti springs on a wagon? I'm considering that. Its funny that this thread should come up because I've also been looking at springs. I want a mild drop. After having a slammed civic I think the wife would kill me if I slammed my car. I'm looking for 1inch or less drop.

    Anyone else?

I had Prodrive springs on my bugeye and those gave a modest drop and near stock ride with out being slammed. You might also check out Epic Engineering springs. Made by a former employee or prodrive. Check them out over at Nasioc, looks like a good spring, similar to prodrive blues with being slightly lower(1" drop in front little less in the rear).

Oh and check nasioc for many sti springs on wagon pics.

Ryan, check out the SPT wagon springs. The rates are within an eyelash of the Prodrives, and you can get them for cheap with the MNSOC discount. The drop is about the same or a hair less than the Prodrives as well.

I think they're great. I haven't had the opportunity to test drive a bunch of other set-ups, but I am 100% happy with my setup. At some point when my struts go out, I'll replace them with something better, but until that point I don't plan on it. Hopefully that'll be down the road a long time from now.

    Nice!

Thanks for posting up zisson, stance looks great.

I'm assuming those are the wagon specific springs correct?

I believe the HTech wagon and sedan springs are the same. The model numbers are the same so I assume there is no difference. The space between the fender and the tire/wheel are pretty close to identical on both front and rear...

Check out Tein's webpage for more details. Also, if you purchase them, be careful where you get them from. I guess there are fakes out there. I got my from www.highperformaceoutlet.com I had great luck with them with fast shipment...and they are real.

If you're in the STP area, let me know and you could check it out.
