Let's Talk Alarm Systems...

    So what does everyone know and have exprienced with alarm systems (brands)...I had and Autopage RS720 on my L and I was very satisfied with it...It was and alarmsystem, remote starter, and keyless entery with and LCD screen...I was looking into getting the same thing for my new car but adding on the shock sensor and proximity sensor as well...Any adivece..

    it may cost more because of the manual transmission, ide say go with what you know

    Skip the prox sensors. They are a pain in the ass. I have all dei stuff in my cars and I have never had any issues. I guess if what you had before worked, go with it again. I would just skip the prox. There is to many little issues with them that will give you trouble.

    my advice, dont go to best buy. for their cheapest viper with remote start they said it will be around 500 with install

    who or what shop would install a remote start on a manual car?

    Any one of our stores install remote starters into manual trans. vehicles. And it still comes with a lifetime warranty.:shock:

    I'm familiar with DEI products and Compustar system. I can say... they work great for me.

    Clifford, Viper and Python are all made by DEI. DEI is a pretty solid manufacturer.

    I personally have had experience with the Clifford. Can't think of the exact model, but one of the nicer 2 way pager systems. I recommend the pager's. No use having an alarm, if you don't even know its going off. Especially if you live in an apartment. They eat up the AAA batteries though.
