New Lexus supercar dubbed the LFA, price tag seems ridiculous but its amazing none-the-less

but most pointless car ever. like they say, its cost 6 times more then a GTR, and its not faster, and i'd have to say the GTR looks better also.

And can anyone seriously say that they would take one of these over 2 or 3 Lamborghini's?!

toyota you seriously messed up by letting Haruhiko Tanahashi design this.

I think it looks good. The rear might be a little plain, but overall I like it.



The car isn't pointless. They wanted to do something just for the sake of doing it. Who cares if they make money at it or sell a ton of them. It's simply an exercise in engineering to showcase what they are capable of. If they wanted it to be cheaper they wouldn't have built the car out of so much carbon.

The sound is what brought on my obsession...the price is what turned me away. I really wish they had come out with a less expensive (less carbon fiber) model. I think its unbelievably gorgeous...too bad I'll probably never see one lol

 

I love everything about thsi car.. the body the interior the sound... everything but the ridicules price tag

 

The price is unbelievable, but even money won't get you one unless you meet their customer "profile". Must be high profile (in the public eye) and promise to use the car, no garage queens allowed.

 

That car is amazing, outrageously overpriced though.

Wrong. Price is NOT going to be $500k USD. The UK taxes the everloving **** out of high-end cars. US price is expected to be just (and I use that term loosely) $300,000 - $350,000.

The crazy thing is - the car is almost completely customizable at that price. If you want pink accelerator pedals, you get pink accelerator pedals.

EDIT: Oh, and btw - I WILL be making a post about this car WHEN we get one here. Maplewood already has one bought and paid for by a customer I guess. Here in Wayzata we're supposed to see "at least two of them" according to the GM. I'm QUITE excited. I'm sure my pants won't fit right after seeing one in person. :biggrin:

The profile that they want is some one in ferndale who takes it to Patrics/ sunsetts/ bluepoint/Giannis steak house, fairly regularly... and never goes across the street to IHOP :laugh:
