EVO drivers have 'tiny mans' syndrome...that's why they like to spread the hate towards a superior vehicle...

Don't worry, the owner will be convicted of molesting farm animals and/or runaways soon enough.

I haven't met any EVO drivers that I really liked.... they all seem pretty cocky. I'd still rather associate with suby people even if I owned an EVO of any age...

BTW, new STI walks all over the EVO X!!!!!!

    :ugh:

Um, no. As Tom says, EVO FTW.

But we do have to question the sanity of Mitsubishi. Yes, we want Bilsteins and 6-speeds, but plastic shark fins? Puh-lease! That's like having plastic rear wings....

And my license plate is better, anyway.

Tom says Evo IX (Evo9) not Evo X (Evo10)<---those are t3h suck!

Evo 9's are a hot car, but it's all in personal preference.

Your url contained a malformed id.

And the VIII was a better looker than the IX. The IX had the cams and turbine nozzle upgrades FTW. And new STI looks are bleech. Did they even upgrade their crap paint???

I saw a Blue Evo X and a White Evo X. Didn't look as aggressive as it was in the pictures IMO. Although the new STi's do look a bit better in person.

None of our cars have Audi interiors.

One thing I really liked about the Evo was that the little Japanese engineer who designed the interior must have been my size. The seat/wheel/pedal position was perfect for me. However, I disliked the lack of cruise control and those tiny gauges. They were impossible to read. My biggest gripe is the tiny back seat in Subarus- you can't fit a car seat in there at all!

    FTL :(

Just an FYI they stopped making the Evo X. They are coming out with a new one that actually looks like the one in the pics(the prototype).
For me id take an Evo over an STI for the simple fact that I have yet to see a very fast Subaru (then again I havent looked too hard so dont flame). I do LOVE the sound of a WRX/STI tho. Sounds super mean!

So you found a video. Congratulations! I'm sure we could watch Top Gear or read any of the U.S. magazines and get the opposite result. C&D had the Evo beating the STi in their tests.

Did Mitsubishi capitalize on the foundation that Subaru laid down? I guess everyone borrowed from Audi when it comes to Rally cross?

I don't see why you guys care so much about how the STOCK cars stack up against each other. The nature of these cars is tunability, and bickering about little details of stock for stock is retarded. There are endless options as to what you make your car. So STFU already!!!!!!!!

Car and Driver is almost as lame as Motortrend anyways.

^^ok well in that case then the evo will walk all over the sti when it comes to the dyno for raw HP. theyre 4g63's remember there older brothers?-yea DSM there for people make these cars fast as hell cheap and easy. dont get me wrong i am a huge subaru fan but the boxer just doesnt make enough raw HP to show off on the dyno like an evo can. sure there are the few sti's that are fast as **** and shoot upwards of 850+ but im talking the average evo makes more power easier than a subaru. and yes if you are wondering i hate evos but its true.

We'll see how the new aluminum mill in the Evo does when the sick minded U.S. aftermarket gets it grubby hands on it.

The thing that holds the subie's back it the fact that its really hard for them to rev as high as an inline four. The rod bearings just won't have it.

I love both cars, but prefer the subaru reliability and rumbles. I still am not sold on the evos as being a reliable car, but then again i dont know much about them. Someone give me one and ill drive the hell out of it and let you know. ;)
