My ceiling height limits me to about 40" floor to chassis. I don't think it would do too much more than that to be honest
This is actually a "portable" setup. Once you undo the quick release on the hydraulic lines, the posts can be unbolted and wheeled away. The pump is also on a cart that can be wheeled around
I like it, very cool to see a lift in someone's garage, except I have 1 question, how do you wheel the welder from the front of the car to the back?
I believe it was about $2,300 all-in. Bought it at Northern Tool in Woodbury. Good guys over there; they helped me uncrate the lift, inventory the parts, and load it up in the warehouse
Not too bad. The most difficult part is drilling and setting the anchors. You'll need at least 6" of concrete to properly install this version. It took me about 4 hours in total
Nice would love to have something like this. My garage space is pretty tight as is. So the stantions are removable? Thinking maybe drill down poor footers and then cover. With a plate.
This shows how easy the posts are to reposition. You should only need to pour footers if you have less than about 6" of concrete. Some people have installed this lift in 4", but I wouldn't feel safe with that.
This looks great! Surprisingly, Menards sells some similar lifts online. I was thinking about buying one whenever I buy a house.
i would love to come check it out sometime, as im in the market for a hoist for at home, just havent seen a maxjax in person
I'd be more than happy to show it off. I live near dt St Paul and am around most nights and weekends. (PS, my eagerness to accommodate your request has nothing to do with the fact that you're a Subaru tech.... Nothing at all)
I know this is an old thread, but did no one else notice the Viper under the car cover? BTW do you want a new friend @MSPSTI ? : )
I had the B/W 96 GTS poster on my wall growing up, so there really wasn't any other choice as far as I'm concerned.
I got a nice diecast model of your exact model/colors that I got as a BD present when I was a young'un, I'll have to see if I still have it downstairs. It's the classic Viper color scheme and body style, as far as I'm concerned. The profile is so recognizable, even under a car cover
Nice. I have my die-cast viper on a shelf in my garage next to the real one It's a little beat up after years opening the hood/doors and daydreaming.
