little black box dealy? what does it do?

    in my car there is a little black box dealy that is mounted on top of the pitch stop mount (chassis side not engine) by the AC line. i am curious as to what this thing does.

    does anyone know?

    didn't we trace the wires back to something? I thought we figured it out when we were looking at it all at my place...

    it is? is that different from the coil pack, locatoed on the top of my intake manifold?
