First off, I would turn down the boost, big time. 2nd, you ARE going to blow it up running that map. Its not a if, is a when. Ok, the 8th row over is the afr row, once you get into boost (4-6psi), that should read rich. If it does not read rich, you are WAY, WAY, WAY to lean. You are running 12.4-12.6 arf and 20lbs of boost, you motor will explode. Try putting in the new stg4 txs map. We put it in Dave's car, and he was running 9.6-9.8 afr's (way to rich, but it will not self destruct). Start with that, right now you are way to lean. Also, in the txs manual it shows a list of boost numbers vs rpm, build up a boost map to get close to that. Russ
You will probably need to recalibrate your MAP on the UTEC again. Trust the boost gauge on your left, not the one on your right. Although I'm surprised becuase at 18 psi your A/f ratios were spot on(or at least spot on as I could get them). It doesn't make much sense that you running less boost would make your ratios leaner. Add .5 more fuel on the maps from 5000+ in columns 50-100% Turn the ABC out(or in) until you're getting 18 psi. Russ, he has a stage 4 map, and most everything was right on. But I think his CAI is throwing things outta wack.
John, Russ, I switched my utec psi reading from absolute to gauge and now it drives real strong. But my boost gauge still reads about 16 psi but as you can see the utec reads upwards between 18-20 psi. Do you think that a leak is present where my gauge is hooked up? Also, I will make the changes later today when I get home. keep ya posted. John or Russ, you think you could tweak my map for me? Also what can i do to prevent the hose clamp on the intercooler to turbo piping on tight? it keeps popping off no matter how tight i tighten it. PS John I forgot how to calibrate my tps. Thats looks pretty good. You are running some good timing numbers. I would still go and build a boost map. You want to taper some of the boost off in the higher rpms. You don't need to drop down to 10-12 psi, but try for the 20-21psi peak, and tapper off to 16-17 twards redline. The only other thing to do is throw in a wbo2 to make sure your afr's are in check. Another thing you need to do is change your maximum value for mapping (this number is in psi) in the parameters. You are spending nearly all of that run in the 100% load site. Bumping up the max value will give you more granularity and ability to fine tune things. $10 says it's currently the default of 18 psi. If you want to be running 20 lbs of boost, you should raise that max value. Also, as per the advice Jorge gave me this weekend, close the ABC all the way and tune like that. Opening the ABC is only for situations where you cannot hit your boost target with it closed. It's just crazy that you are hitting 21 lbs of boost with values of only 250 in the boost map. What is the boost gain set to?
something else to check is your wastegate pressure line. It that gets kinked to the air pressure doesn't fully get to the wastegate, you will have large boost numbers. I know thats what happened on my car. Russ
