    unscented flavor!

I jumped on this one because evidentially FP was in the middle of changing things up a bit. their fp evo3 model is now only 550 cfm..dropped from 575cfm whereas this one is 510 cfm.

It's the same thing I'm running, it makes pretty good power, even with my too small, soon to be replaced STi top mount.

I'm running DW 650 injectors, a Perrin BCS, and a tune from DB. I think the power numbers are a little down due to lack of intercooler flow, but it did put down 220 whp before the clutch took a dump on the dyno at around 16 or so psi. I'm trying to decide what to do about my intercooler set up and then it's going back to the dyno for some more tweaking.

Ummm...I dyno'd about the same with Cobb OTS stage 2 at LSE performance last year. Personally could give a rats butt for numbers, but still think I should be around 270-280 with the set-up

That's what I was hoping for but for some reason everything that has been done to my car has delivered dissapointing dyno numbers. The butt dyno on the other hand has allways read big increases. I think I've just got a car that just doesn't wanna make any power numbers. Does anybody think that the sti intercooler as opposed to a big top mount(ssac or the like), or a front mount is where I'm coming up short?

Once I get mine done and tuned properly I'll let you know what I get for numbers. I think you just need some tweaking done. the clutch slipping makes a huge difference and only running 16psi....my transmission will break before my clutch slips. :eek3:

btw- I'm installing a gm bcs, biggest top mount I can squeeze under the hood, and modded stock injectors (670cc or so)

Yeah, when I took the stock clutch out it was completely void of clutch material. How much boost are you going to run?

boost? I don't know for sure...but the research I've done leads me to believe (depending on the tune) I should be in the 19-20 area with it tappering off to 16-17 by redline

I was kind of shocked at the numbers, too. I ran 200 AWHP on a Dyno Dynamics in my 02 WRX with a 93 Octane Cobb Stage 2 Access ECU (pre-AP Cobb tuning), stock BCS, Stock Turbo, and Stock TMIC. The only "power-adder" I had (other than UP/DP, Tune, IC hoses, and UD Pulley) was an 11.7 pound flywheel.

With a custom ECUTek tune I was hoping to get at least 210 on that setup.

Cliffs: 220 is low for your setup.

16psi on a 16g is like running 8psi on the stock turbo. Those turbos love boost. They don't really start making some power till your in the 18+ area. I would run 19 on pump and 24+ on race.

I only made 187 whp on my stage 2 DB tune, which was a little dissapointing as well. It did, however rip off a 13.63 at the track on that set up. It hasn't been back in it's current state I'd be curious how it'd do, because it is noticebly faster. That being said I would like to have a pretty dyno sheet with 250 to 270 whp to hang on the wall.

that wa sactually with an accessport stage2 93 map off the shelf... Tom has tuned it since, and I added one of my hand built x-overs, just also added my custom 4in dp so it spools quicker and stronger.. waiting for next dyno run day....

Hmmm. Do you happen to know what CF you were running? Mine was 1.15 because I was at 5,500 ft.

Regardless, those are some GREAT numbers.
