Yep, this is legit. It's sitting in the back corner of the Subaru dealership, and belongs to one of the sales guys. He claims that it's never been driven in the rain, and after taking a peek underneath, I don't doubt it. The last offer he turned down was the equivalent of $114,000, so he seems quite attached to it.

I did get to sit in it, but we didn't fire it up since he's got the battery disconnected. Boo hiss.

    Bye for now,
    Stuart.

 More pics please! that car is so unbelievably sexy, word cannot express how sexy it is. Anyone get a pic of the vin so we can order up the parts through the dealership??? lol.

As for how rare the car is there were officially 400 produced for sale. the majority were sold in japan, with a few being imported to the UK as a type UK model. also a few of the japanese ones were snuck into europe also. On top of the 400 official ones there were a few (~22 or 23) extras which were made and given/sold to high priority people/places. I know there is one at SOA in new york (or so I have heard), one was given to a guy who drove pikes peaks, another was given to the sultan of some place or another (this is the only one know to come in silver not sonic blue). so yeah they are pretty rare. also I have seen pics of atleast 2 crashed ones so they are becoming more rare.

We have a winner. And the price I quoted is US $ converted from the offer he had in the local currency. And that's the amount he's turned down. This is a Japanese one they imported themselves, not a UK one.

I'm kicking myself for not getting a picture of me in it, and for not getting a snap of the number tag on the center console. I think it was either 063/400 or 163/400.

    Stuart.
